Post-pregnancy and beyond - entire body workouts

Our Studio is a great place to truly get back into shape post-pregnancy. All of our classes are designed to provide powerful core and entire body workouts. Here are some tips for getting back into shape after having a baby.

When Should I Start?

Please wait until you’ve had your six week check up before taking any class. If you are coming to the studio earlier than 3 months post-partum, you must bring a doctor’s note.

What to Do

You won’t have all that much time to exercise, so focus on things that you truly enjoy. One great way to start getting back into shape is Pilates. Plan to take a few Pilates private sessions to get you going on a plan that will work for you. Then you should consider joining a Pilates small group class with equipment. Our five, four, three and two-person classes allow you to enjoy the benefits of a private session without the cost.

We recommend two to three classes per week to begin.

Once you’ve taken Pilates classes, you can plan to move into barre. Pilates is a great way to begin work on the core and reconnect to those long lost abdominals. Barre is more intense, integrating total body transformation.

Don’t be too ambitious about attending too many classes early on. You’ve got plenty of time and be sure to consult your doctor.
